About One Dollar Boats

People donate boats they no longer use: running or not, with or without a trailer. We collect them at no cost to the donor, photograph them, describe what we know, and list them for auction. Every auction starts at $1 with no reserve, so the highest bid when the clock runs out wins, whatever it is.

Buyers anywhere in the US register for free, bid online, pay by invoice, and collect the boat. Right now there are 168 live auctions.

One Dollar Boats has sold donated boats on eBay, and buyers' feedback is public on our eBay seller profile; a selection is on our reviews page. This website is our own auction house: the same kind of donated boats and the same $1 starting price, with bidding, questions, invoices and pickup details in one place.

The amount you bid is your bid, visible to everyone; there are no hidden maximums. A bid in the final minutes extends the clock, so last-second bids don't win by surprise. The winner pays within 48 hours, then receives the pickup address and a contact. We don't arrange transport.

Boats are sold as-is. Each listing says whether the engine runs, what title comes with the boat and whether a trailer is included; anything we're not sure about is marked unknown.
